Racing Post Chase Racecourse Directions

Richard Johnson and Gunther Mcbride clear the last fence at Kempton before landing The Racing Post Steeple Chase Race Kempton Park, the Racing Post Chase racecourse, hosts the King George IV Chase and several other exciting hunt and flat races. It’s located on the A308 between Sunbury on Thames and Hampton Court.

Getting There

by rail

Kempton Park Racecourse has its own railway station – Kempton Park Railway Station. The station is located on the Waterloo-Shepperton line. A one-way commute from central London lasts approximately 35 minutes.

by road

To reach Kempton Park from outside central London, follow the M25 round to junction 12. Turn on to the M3 eastbound until you reach Junction 1. Then turn right onto the A308. Kempton Park is located 1 mile further along, on the left.

If driving from central London, head out towards the M3. Kempton Park Racecourse is located within a short distance of where the M3 starts.

Over a thousand free parking bays are available for use by the general public.

by air

Kempton Park Racecourse is a 25-minute drive from London Heathrow Airport and a 45-minute drive from Gatwick International Airport. Heathrow Terminal 4 is located only 3 miles from the course.

Kempton Park Racecourse boasts landing facilities for helicopters. However permission must be arranged in advance with racecourse administrators.

Getting In

On race days children under 16 get in free. Ticket prices for the various grandstand and enclosure options range between £8 and £22.

The Racing Post Chase racecourse enforces a dress code on race days. Smart/casual dress is acceptable; inappropriate apparel may result in refusal of entry.
